LHS bags 1st in Reading Proficiency

"Every student is a reader and a book lover"- this was the motivation of Lagronians, winning first in the 8th Reading Proficieency Contest (DRPC) at Carlos C. Albert High School.
LHS grabbed the championship trophy and announced as the overall champion with 142 points from the individual winners namely Catherine Quitlong, II-Narra, first place, 38 points; Isabelle Betyna Salazar from I- Sampaguita, Gabriella Carino from III-Diamond and Aubrey Rose Belita from IV- Platinum with 34 points.
Over 160 deligates from 42 public schools in Quezon City joined the contest like Quirino H/S, San Francisco H/S, Novaliches H/S, Juan Sumulong H/S, Commonwealth H/S, and other public schools, according to Mrs. Nimfa Gabertan, English Department Head.
"Students really did their best. Doing their best makes them a winner", quoted Mrs. Gabertan.
Trainors were Mrs. Eloisa Cruz for First year level, Mrs. Salvasion Sayson for Second year level , Mrs. Henone Langutan for Third year level and Mrs. Corazon Zinampan for Fourth year level.
"LHS is that competitive and all the student are all well-trained', Mrs. Langutan said.
Winning schools received their trophies and certificate of participation for all the participants.
This annual event started last 2000 with LHS as the first overall champion.
